Revenge star Emily VanCamp takes on a whole new kind of drama in the upcoming can't-miss movie "Captain America: The Winter Solider." While Emily's characters may be good at keeping secrets, we can't resist sharing how to get her red carpet look from the movie premiere.

Usually one for the dramatics, this time it was all about the smooth and soft look tonight. The artist behind Emily's hair tonight? One of her biggest fans, Celebrity Stylist David Gardner.

"Emily has gorgeous hair - her dress for the night was a showstopper and she is such a natural beauty that I decided to make the hair soft and touchable to allow that to shine through," Gardner said. "I wanted to give her a silky straight blowout with some volume at the root that would move with her as she walked the red carpet."

Here's David's tips to get the look at home:

  • "After using a wide tooth comb (like I did on Emily's wet hair), flip your head over and apply an egg-sized amount of the Herbal Essences Naked Volumizing Souffle ($7) into roots, work through hair," Gardner instructed. "Flip head back over, add a bit more to the hairline for additional volume and lift."
  • Section hair from ear to ear around the back of your head, pin the top section up. Start from the back, blow dry hair straight using a large round brush to give it more body and movement. "Continue to work through each section, blow drying with the round brush. I always make sure to blow dry at the hairline, the texture in that area can be different from the rest of the hair," Gardner said. "The Volumizing Souffle is great for keeping this area smooth the entire night."
  • Post-blowout, spray Naked Sheer Shine Mist ($7)to give hair a light touchable shine. "Put hair into large Velcro rollers - one away from the face on the top, one on the crown, one on each side and two in the back. Once the rollers are in place, spray whole head with Naked Flexible Hold Spritzer ($7) to keep the lift in the roots without leaving the hair stiff or sticky," the expert explained.
  • After makeup and wardrobe, take out the rollers, brush through and done! Sleek, sophisticated and gorgeous style!
