She said, "We are thrilled to bits that he is seeing Emma Watson. We are looking forward to meeting her soon."

She added, "Hats off to her for finding such a wonderful young man. There is nothing bad anyone could say about Matt. He is absolutely lovely."

Day and her husband, James, became Matt Janney's unofficial guardians after his mother Jill died from breast cancer in 2008 when the athlete was 16-years-old. The college student lost his father to cancer when he was a toddler.

The actress famously attended the college for one year before transferring to Brown University in America. The starlet was seen cheering on Janney from the stands as he helped guide his team to a 33-15 victory.

Following the win, the actress made her way to the post-match victory party at the Ping bar in London's Earl's Court. On Monday, January 6th Emma Watson and Matt Janney were photographed getting cozy on a Caribbean beach.
