The first trailer for the highly anticipated film, "Divergent" has finally been released! Fans can see Shailene Woodley's character, Tris facing her worst fears while learning fighting techniques in the new clip, which is gaining steam before the movie's release date.

According to Entertainment Weekly, the 21-year-old actress, known for her role on ABC Family's now-defunct "The Secret Life of the American Teenager," plays a girl who must learn how to survive in a world that doesn't accept her.

Given that the popular character doesn't fit into the factions or categories that classify different groups in the film's futuristic society, she is labeled an outcast or "Divergent." In the movie, based on the first book from Veronica Roth's dystopian trilogy, Tris has to learn how to defend herself in order to stay alive.

The clip shows Tris going through training with her instructor, a character named Four, played by Theo James, reported EW.

"If you want to survive, follow me," said Four to Tris in the new viral video.

And while undergoing the grueling exercises, Tris has to deal with another problem besides dodging knives. She is under the watchful eye of Jeanine Matthews, played by Kate Winslet.

"Divergent," also starring Zoe Kravitz, hits theaters on March 21, 2014.
