Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen recently added to their impressive repertoire with their first set of adult fragrances, Nirvana, under their fashion label, Elizabeth and James.

The former child stars and style icons are busier than ever these days! With several different fashion lines from the high-end The Row, to J.C. Penney's Olsenboye, to StyleMint, these girls are everywhere.

Two years in the making, their first perfume is "Nirvana White," a "musky floral built around peony and puget." The second scent is "Nirvana Black," a warm take on violet, sandalwood, lavender mixed with vanilla. The fragrances can by layered or worn separately, coming to Sephora exclusively at the end of January 2014.

Ashley explained just why Sephora was the perfect place to showcase their first scents. "We always knew we wanted to have a fragrance for this brand, because it's very lifestyle," said Ashley. "There are many components to the brand. We felt that between the brand Elizabeth and James and Sephora that we were really speaking together directly to our customer. We felt that was a really good place to start exploring the world of fragrance and beauty."

Sephora's Kendo division, responsible for handling strategic partnerships approached the famous twins after the beauty retailer's fashion market survey found that consumers love the Olsens' Elizabeth and James line, according to Women's Wear Daily

The girls, who had a few teen-themed perfumes in the past, were very involved in the perfume process.

"We wanted to keep things as pure as we could," said Mary-Kate. "They also layer very nicely. We didn't want to do another very average commercial fragrance where it could be anybody's name on the bottle and a visual, which would be a model with a bottle. We wanted to offer more than that and we wanted to offer a choice. I don't want the fragrances to wear [the customer]. Ashley and I are really into oils, and those were the notes we were really attracted to.

"Mary-Kate continued, "It was fascinating to see how many different variations of ingredients there were, how many different types of sandalwood, for instance. That was one of the things I found most interesting, the quality issues of these ingredients, and also balancing all of the notes so that they would sit well together in the juice."

We think the scents scream sophistication and elegance, with their beautifully crafted bottles and mix of alluring notes.

The eau de parfums will be available in three sizes: 50 ml for $75, 30 for $55 and a rollerball for $22. Check out the scents first during a holiday preview from December 13 to 25 at Sephora.
