Love It or Leave It: Jennifer Hudson's Pixie Cut

Close

Jennifer Hudson has joined the short hair squad!

The Oscar winner has said goodbye to long locks for pixie pastures. J Hud debuted the Miley Cyrus-like cut at BET's Black Girls Rock on Saturday. Like every selfie-crazed starlet, J Hud also took to Instagram to show off her new sassy chop.

"Black girls rock!" wrote Jennifer, along with posting a photo of her haircut. "Yep, catch it! You've been jenniferized...catch it!!"

Celebrity stylist Cesar Ramirez, who also works on the heads of CiaraLaLa Anthony and Adrienne Bailone, crafted Jen's new coif. What a dramatic makeover it was!

"She felt she was ready for a change and wanted to play with the idea of cutting her hair short," Cesar told InStyle.com. "A fierce, short pixie is the perfect way to show the world how fierce she really is. We both agreed that going short is like a reward well-deserved when losing a lot of weight, and the long hair didn't seem to showcase her personality."

Cesar also took to Instagram to talk about Jennifer's tresses transformation, "My latest creation the #PixyCut on #JeniferHudson #newdo #werq #haircut #fashion #style #BlackGirlsrock #BET."

We love Jen and her stylist's enthusiasm. Pulling off the pixie can't be done without chicness and confidence, which are two things that the actress has in spades.

What else does the starlet have that makes this a fabulous mane move? J Hud's got an amazing style that is hotter than hot. During Black Girls Rock, the "Dreamgirls" star wore a body-hugging mini black dress and matching lace-up knee high boots to complement her sexy new cut. The racy look, complete with black smokey eyes and a pretty pink lip, grabbed our attention.

If J Hud's new 'do was eye-catching for you or not, let us know in a note below!
