So if you're bummed about our Top 10 Movie Makeover Countdown ending last week, fear not! We've decided to keep Top 10 Mondays going. Aside from movies, where else do we get our makeup inspiration from? Where else do we look for trends, innovation and creativity? You've guessed it, none other than music videos! We are going to count down 10 of our favorites where artists have created iconic and inspiring looks for us all to take and reinvent ourselves with. Let the countdown begin!

#10 - Addicted to Love by Robert Palmer

This 80's music video is iconic for its era. Aside from a chart-topping song, the visual appeal of the video offers great makeup inspiration! If you've seen these video vixens in action, the models Robert Palmer features as he's singing his trendy tune practically steal the show with their all black dresses, slicked back hair, bold eyes, and eye-popping red lips.

The inspiration for the Addicted to Love ladies' look actually came from a well-known artist. The paintings of Patrick Nagel were the source for the pale skin, bold red lips and defined eyes all the clone-like models wore. The women stand behind Robert Palmer and simply act as his band, but they actually had very specific instructions.

Former model, actress, and Addicted To Love bass guitar girl, Mak Gilchrist told Q magazine they were meant to look and act like showroom mannequins. "Director Terence Donovan got us tipsy on a bottle of wine but as we were having our make-up retouched, I lost balance on my heels and knocked the top of my guitar into the back of Robert's head, and his face then hit the microphone," she said. Ouch!

Despite the awkwardness of the models who often moved out of sync with the song and couldn't actually play a single instrument, the video remains a piece of pop culture gold. The video girls, despite their mannequin instructions, did their hair and makeup proud, allowing the bold colors and pale skin to speak for themselves. Get a load of the super glossy red lip color!

We love this music video's fierce makeup look, so we had to start our countdown off with it.
