Vanessa Hudgens and Ashley Tisdale have never been shy about sharing details about their friendship since meeting on the set of the Disney hit movie "High School Musical" in 2006. The two seemed to have formed a close bond in the last seven years.

In a recent interview with Cosmo on Campus, Hudgens told the British publication that 28-year-old Tisdale has grow "quite protective" of her, according to Us Weekly.

The "Spring Breakers" star said, "Ashley always says she wants me to be more cautious."

She revealed to the Autumn Term 2013 issue, "She thinks I'm too trusting. I think I'm fine the way I am, but she thinks I have a tendency to float around on a cloud, which I kind of do. She's quite protective -- she always has my back."

"The Frozen Ground" actress told the magazine that she and Tisdale have been through a lot during the course of their friendship.

She admitted, "Ashley and I have laughed and cried together over the years. She comes to me for relationship advice more than I go to her, though; I try to figure stuff out by myself."

Vanessa Hudgens is currently dating "The Carrie Diaries" actor Austin Butler while Ashley Tisdale is engaged to rocker Christopher French.

Hudgens even developed a method for when her friends go through tough times in a relationship. She said, "When a girlfriend is going through a breakup, you have to go out and dance."

She explained, "With your best friends, you've got to be there for them no matter what. I love taking my girlfriends away from their worries and enjoying life with them."

She went on to say, "If there's a problem, a bottle of wine goes a long way. It's the same after a long week of filming -- a glass of wine and a bit of chocolate makes me happy."

Vanessa Hudgens then insisted, "I stay away from [drugs] because I know it's smart to steer clear," ironic she mentions drugs seeing as her ex-boyfriend Zac Efron struggled with a cocaine addiction.

She confessed, "I have never liked 'partying."

"I love dancing, but that's as far as it goes. It's tough because a lot of clubs are everything I loathe, especially in L.A. They're always very ego-filled and people get up to mischief. It's just not a pure environment."
