As the "Scandal" season 3 premiere date nears, spoilers have been spilled and details have been leaked! Most recently, the episode 1 "It's Handled" synopsis has been revealed!

As fans may recall, at the end of season 2 we saw Olivia Pope's affair with the president exposed to the media. Now, the upcoming season will deal with the aftermath of the affair and what it means for Olivia and President Fitz, according to International Business Times.

An ABC press release explained that Olivia's name surfacing as the president's mistress will be the biggest scandal to date for both the White House and Pope & Associates.

However, a "surprise allegiance" will be formed "in order to get things handled."

But we have to remember that Rowan Pope, aka Olivia's father, who was introduced last season, will "stop at nothing to carry out his orders, and no one, including Olivia, can stand in his way."

In the latest teaser trailer, fans get to see some juicy spoilers, including Liv freaking out over her name being "out there," now that she has been labeled as Fitz's mistress.

Not to mention Rowan Pope (Olivia's father) warning his daughter that "they will gut you and everyone you know."

Meanwhile, Mellie is on a war path and busy threatening Fitz by saying, "I will pull out our laundry and I will share it with the world."

While Cyrus is seeking damage control and demands White House employees to "Start a kill folder on Olivia Pope."

Last month, Tony Goldwyn revealed Fitz's approach to all the White House drama. He said, "Fitz really wants to approach everything in as upfront a way as possible. Now there's lots of people in his life who are gonna object to that and keep him from doing it.

"Fitz is trying to steer clearly through this ... but he's not successful. [Laughs.] Lots of bombs go off in his face."

The actor did his best to divulge some spoilers involving Fitz's and Jake's storyline admitting that we will see more of their past. However, he didn't want to give too much away, "Honestly I don't know what I can tease, but I know that's true -- there's lots of suggestions that that's where we're going.

"There's a lot of dark tunnels we're gonna be going down, I suspect, that dig up more details about Fitz and Jake. He's a very interesting character who I think is just going to get more complicated as we go."
