Fall will soon be on the horizon and with it, some great new makeup options. The stunning ready to wear designs of Dole and Gabanna offer the perfect inspiration for a dramatic makeup look. If it’s a sexy, bold makeover you're after, greet fall with the sophisticated cat eye and bold red lips from this couture fashion house's runway.

This look is full of Italian flair. The amazingly detailed collection, complete with gorgeously ornate jewelry, golden crowns, and lush fabrics was inspired by designer Domenico Dolce's home of Sicily. The intricate architectural designs of the cathedral Monreale from the 12th century were the launching pad for beautiful embroidered fashions and detailed mosaics that took the runway by sophisticated storm.

The makeup also drew inspiration from Italy, with its beautifully dramatic style courtesy of one our previous Throwback Thursday glam goddesses. Based on the gorgeous looks served up by the legendary Italian beauty Sophia Loren, the Fall 2013 makeup for Dolce and Gabbana was all about bold, captivating glamour.

"The look is inspired by fantastic cathedrals, like Monreale in Sicily, which is very Byzantine, very rich with incredible icons," explained renowned makeup artist Pat McGrath. "Designers Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana wanted the girls to be more aristocratic, sophisticated, chic. It's a nod to couture, but modern at the same time."

The models in their crimson red couture designs, took to the runway in super chic style. Bold red lips, sleek updos and feline cat eyes complimented the fashions beautifully. "We love eyeliner because it's very expressive. We're taking it more and more out here," said McGrath. For this look, choose your best shade of knock 'me dead red lipstick and wing out your liner for bold, sexy flair.

It looks like were not the only ones clamoring for this look. One of our favorite beauty gurus, Michelle Phan, recently released her own crimson beauty video. The red haute couture look served up by D&G is so similar to the smoking hot style of Spanish flamenco dancer's who also make their liner and bold lip color the main attraction.
