NYFW is the compass by which every woman sets her makeup, hair, and fashion for the season, but what about our guys? Sure there's plenty for their wardrobe, but every man needs a little grooming too.

Meet Evolution Man. We learned about the amazing line at the Ernest Alexander and BeSpoken men's fashion shows last week. Backstage, amid the beautifully tailored clothes, shoes, and men's accessories, we sat with the makeup artists as they prepped the models with products from the collection. "This is not makeup for men," said makeup artist Anoli. "Think of Evolution Man as a grooming line. It has everything a man needs to keep his skin healthy, smooth, and flawless." Evolution Man may have consisted of only 4 products backstage, but the line is packed with a powerhouse of benefits.

Models were prepped for their runway looks with a moisturizer first. Makeup artists applied either Moisture Protect SPF 20 or Moisture Protect SPF 20 Bronze, priced at $34 each. "This is simply going to nourish and protect the skin, said makeup artist Ahbi Nishman. "The formula helps calm razor burn, provides strong sunscreen protection, and also helps reduce fine lines."

As we watched the makeup artists place swatches of the bronzer on the backs of their hands, we worried at first that the color would be way too dark for a fair-skinned model, and too light for a model with deeper skin. But we were totally wrong. The Moisture Protect SPF 20 Bronze blends beautifully into any skin tone.

"A little goes a long way with the bronzer. This BB cream for men gives a guy's skin a natural glow, as if they've just been outside," Anoli explained. "And the beauty of this product is that if you are little heavy handed with it, simply apply a bit of the Moisture Protect SPF 20 back to skin and you'll have a fresh new canvas to start over with."

For blemishes, Evolution Man has got guys covered too. For $22, the Color & Treat stick is a blendable concealer that quickly covers imperfections while treating them at the same time. "Not only does this cover up any imperfections, but the stick is also infused with Salicylic Acid to treat acne and razor burn," makeup artist, Matthew Green explained.  How cool is that?!

To complete the runway look, makeup artists applied Lip Balm SPF 15. With UVA and UVB protection, the $10 lip conditioner delivered a long-lasting, matte finish to the model's look.

From the catwalk to the sidewalk, Evolution Man is taking the guesswork out of men's grooming. Tell us what you think about the innovative line in the comments below!
