With "Scandal" season 3 less than a month away the DVD release of season 2 gave us even more insight on Olivia's and President Fitz's steamy love affair in a deleted scene.

In an exclusive clip revealed by Entertainment Weekly, featured in the extras section on the season 2 DVD, which was released on September 5th, we see a hot kiss from stars Kerry Washington and Tony Goldwyn.

Deleted from the episode "Nobody Likes Babies," in which Verna, who is dying from cancer, explains to Liv why she hired an assassin to shoot the president, we see a flashback of Fitz winning the election.

In the clip the he thanks his team for helping him win and retreats to an office where an ecstatic Olivia Pope waits.

The two embrace and giggle as they kiss and stumble out of frame; meanwhile, Verna walks by and sees the intimate moment.

Now bear in mind this is the same hour in which the fictional president killed Verna by taking off her oxygen mask after she told him his election was rigged and she wanted to reveal the truth before she died.

Fitz, who asked Olivia to wait for him so they can be together, finds out about her involvement in fixing the campaign and gives her the cold shoulder.

Fans may remember Goldwyn delivering the harsh line, "Don't wait for me. I don't know what I was thinking: Screwing your mistress is one thing, but marrying her? That's political suicide, really.

"I mean, you believe that my presidency is more important than anything else, right? You must. You worked so hard to get me here."

As far as "Scandal" season 3 spoilers go, Goldwyn revealed that Fitz and Olivia will have scenes together in the season 3 premiere of episode 1. He said, "Yes. Fitz and Olivia are forced to deal with one another. It's very much in the context of crisis management."

The actor teased that Fitz has a line in the season's second episode that will "break Twitter." He said that although it isn't a "cold" line it will definitely be an awesome one.

Although he could not reveal who he says it to, he did say, "But it's good. It's really good. You'll know it when you hear it."

It was also said that there is a possible death in episode 4 and that Fitz will feel guilty because he has something to hide.

Although he did not confirm the death he did say, "There are some really dark threads to this season. It's also funny and entertaining as ever, but Shonda's pushin' it. She's going to some pretty dark places, and it's just more complex I think than last season was - if that's possible."
