Lea Michele recently Tweeted casting updates for the 5th season of Glee, which will now include Phoebe Strole from "Spring Awakening."   It was previously announced that Demi Lovato and Adam Lambert would also be joining the cast.  Michele considers the two actresses to be her best friends, which might provide some comfort for Michele following the difficult death of her boyfriend Cory Monteith.

On Thursday, Michele Tweeted the news about her co-star from "Spring Awakening": 

Strole will play Penny Owen, a college sophomore with nursing school aspirations. Along the way, she'll serve as a love interest for Chord Overstreet's Sam, according to Headline Planet.

Lovato will be playing the role of Dani, who is a struggling artist and becomes friends with Michele's Rachel Berry and Naya Rivera's Santana.  Lovato hasn't appeared on TV since 2011 when she appeared on Sonny with a Chance on the Disney Channel, according to Unreality Primetime.

Lovato's character is supposed to have heavy interaction with Lambert's character, but there have been no other details on what kind of a relationship they will have.

Yesterday, Michele Tweeted a photo of herself wearing a necklace saying "Finn," Monteith's character.
