Even though most people raise a child on their own raising a royal baby is a bit different which is why Kate Middleton and Prince William have called on his former nanny to help with rearing Prince George.

71-year old Jessica Webb is said to be considering the offer and coming out of retirement for her former client.

Webb cared for both Prince William and Harry and shielded the boys from their parent's bitter divorce, according to the Daily Mail.

The celebrity news site reported that she did her best to make sure that the princes did not witness any of the screaming matches that went on between Princess Diana and Prince Charles.

The nanny cared for the boys "from the age of seven until William went off to prep school five years later."

After she left Kensington Palace, Ms. Webb went to work for Viscount Linley and his wife Serena taking care of their son Charles and daughter Margarita. However, she kept in touch with the princes and was a guest at William's 21st birthday and attended the royal wedding of Will and Kate.

One royal courtier told the Sunday People, "Jessie would be ideal. Everyone likes her. She's discreet and she's of an age when she's not going to have her picture in the paper every five minutes."

The paper is claiming that although Webb is happy to help seeing as William was one of her favorites she is reluctant about taking on a full time job.

Princess Diana chose her to be William's main nanny going against Prince Charles' wishes who wanted an old-school royal appointee to care for him.

Diana believed that the woman could provide the boys with values of fairness and compassion along with some fun into their upbringing.

It is reported that the Duke of Cambridge wants the same for his son. Currently the Duchess of Cambridge is caring for Prince George full-time but has been advised that the combination of motherhood and royal duties will result in exhaustion.

Although Kate has the help of her mother, she and Will realize that they cannot be super parents, according to the Daily Mail a source told writer Sian James that "They both accept the view that they won't be able to do it all.

"There is also a feeling that Kate might lay herself open to criticism if she is seen letting her mother have too much influence.

"William has very fond memories of Jessie and they've put the idea to her that she comes back. I think she's very flattered."

A colleague of Jessica Webb said that although she has a "terrific sense of humor" she is strict.

"She would stand for no nonsense and would want to do things her way."

Although they are currently apart with William returning back to the Royal Air Force, he speaks to Kate and Prince George every day via webcam. The Duchess is said to be joining him on the Island in four weeks

When asked about the potential re-employment of Jessica Webb, a Kensington Palace spokesman said, "It is too early to talk about potential childcare arrangements at this stage."
