Christian Bale, Bradley Cooper, Amy Adams, Jennifer Lawrence and Jeremy Renner will light up the big screen in the forthcoming film, "American Hustle" arriving in theaters nationwide on Christmas Day.

According to ET Online, the film stars both huge stars from Oscar-winning films "Silver Linings Playbook" and "The Fighter."

The star-studded cast time travels back to the late 1970s, early 80s with some stylish clothes and flashy, flamboyant characters for "American Hustle," the real life story of Irving Rosenfeld, an infamous financial con artist from the Bronx, New York.

ET reported that a bearded Cooper rocked tight curls while Bale had a "fluffy comb-over, ascot and killer collar."

Bale portrays Rosenfeld alongside Adams as his cunning Brit mistress and partner-in-crime, Sydney Prosser. The two lovers were forced to work with unhinged FBI agent Richie DiMaso, played by Cooper, to expose mobsters, corrupt officials, New Jersey powerbrokers and other con artists.

One of Rosenfeld, Prosser and DiMaso's targets is the Renner-played New Jersey mayor Carmine Polito, a volatile political operator playing monkey in the middle between the Feds and a corrupt underworld.

But their operation to turn the tables on Polito and other criminals is threatened by Rosenfeld's unpredictable wife, Rosalyn portrayed by Lawrence.

The David O. Russell-directed film looks like another "powerful, Oscar worthy entry," ET reported.

It has more major star power with Robert DeNiro, Michael Pena and Elisabeth Rohm co-starring with the five main characters, according to IMDB.
