Kate Middleton and Prince William's royal newborn now has a name!

The future British king is Prince George Alexander Louis, announced by his new parents, on Wednesday afternoon, according to US Weekly

After welcoming the heir into the world on Monday, many speculated that naming process would take a few days to weeks. But, it only took Middleton almost two days to reveal the highly-anticipated name for the third in line to the country's throne.

Clarence House tweeted that the royal couple were elated to have a name, "The Duke and Dutchess of Cambridge are delighted to announce they have named their son George Alexander Louis."

The beautiful baby boy was born at 8 pounds, 6 ounces at 4:24 p.m. at St. Mary's Hospital in London on Monday.

There was an official announcement placed on a wood and gold easel behind the Buckingham Palace gates.

And Prince William was ecstatic, "We could not be happier," he said while introducing the world to the royal bundle of joy outside of St. Mary's Lindo Wing on Tuesday.

The family got a visit from Queen Elizabeth and Prince Harry on Wednesday morning, and it was suspected that they talked about baby names.

Well, they must be overjoyed to have a name bestowed on the royal newborn.
