Henry Cavill will star again as the "Man of Steel" in a forthcoming film uniting Batman and Superman on the big screen, according to the actor's unofficial Facebook page.

Director Zack Snyder is bringing the superhero duo together for the first time ever, spilling the huge secret at this year's Comic Con on Saturday.

With "Man of Steel" becoming a mega hit to the tune of more than $360 million globally and counting, Cavill will join the new film and bring along some of his co-stars including Amy Adams, Laurence Fishburne and Diane Lane.

But a new Batman will be cast as Christian Bale is not returning, according to the Inquistir

Bale was happy to past the torch to a new actor, "We were incredibly fortunate to get to make three [Batman films.]

"That's enough," the Oscar winner continued. "Let's not get greedy...It's a torch that should be handed from one actor to another. So I enjoy looking forward to what somebody else will come up with."

And though Bale is out, Snyder is over-the-moon about working on the film, "I'm so excited to begin working again with Henry Cavill in the world we created."

"And I can't wait to expand the DC universe in this next chapter," he continued. "Let's face it, it's beyond mythological to have Superman and our new Batman facing off, since they are the greatest Superheroes in the world."

Snyder will co-write the story with David S. Goyer, well-known screenwriter behind "Man of Steel," "The Dark Knight," and  "Batman Begins."

Fans can expect production to begin sometime in 2014, with an anticipated release date in Summer 2015, according to Cavill's FB.
