After Mariah Carey took the stage at the 2013 BET Awards fans on Twitter went into a frenzy accusing the singer of lip syncing during her performance on Sunday night.

The Grammy Award winner performed he song "Beautiful" alongside singer Miguel and rapper Young Jeezy.

According to the Daily Mail, one fan wrote, "I don't even understand why Mariah Carey even came to the BET awards. she lip synced the entire time."

It was reported that at one point in the performance the singer continued to move her lips while there was a pause in the vocals.

Another fan tweeted, "Mariah. Do us all a favor. Don't put your finger in your ear like that when it is obvious you are lip syncing. It's embarrassing"

Despite her controversial performance the Daily Mail noted that Carey did have stage presence and had no problem showing off her slimed down frame as she wore a Pavoni by Mikael D. plunging white strapless dress with a clingy embellished sheer overlay.

The singer paired the look with her signature super high heels and was covered in diamonds.

This is not the first time Carey has been branded as a fraud. Back in May the singer was bashed for lip syncing during her "American Idol" season finale performance.

However a rep for the singer insisted that her performance was live and with a video analysis others believed she sung live as well.

According to the Daily Mail, a producer of "American Idol" who did not want to be identified said that although there are some suspicions about her performance she could have truly performed live.

In his analysis of the video he claimed, "At around 2:15 to 2:21 in the clip she appears to be out of sync with the audio. That's the one spot I think could be the giveaway that she's lip syncing."

The producer continued to say, "However, sometimes a slight delay in the audio sync to the video can also make someone look like they are lip syncing when they are not. It could just be a bad edit."
