It looks like Emma Stone has retreated back to red hair following her filming of "The Amazing Spider-Man 2."

The actress was spotted earlier this week in New York city with boyfriend Andrew Garfield sporting bright red hair.

The actress who is a natural blond is known for her fiery red locks but has been rocking blonde since she has reprised her role for the second installment in "The Amazing Spider-Man" franchise.

According to Us Weekly Stone dished about her transformation to the famous Gwen Stacy for the film, she said, "We worked together to make sure that Gwen felt like Gwen, but also made sense in the real world."

The actress added, "And I'm a lot less voluptuous than Gwen, unfortunately, so it didn't really go to those heights."

"I'm by no means a supermodel or an unattainable looking person, so that element of Gwen was a bit different because she was such a beauty queen in the comic books."

"I'm more 'next door' than she might be. So that, we worked on."

In the past the actress spoke to BellaSugar about how she enjoys being a redhead and revealed to the site that she first started coloring her naturally blonde hair when she was trying out for Judd Apatow's "Superbad."

She said, "I had been blond my whole life and I dyed it brown when I was 15. Then when I went to the camera test for 'Superbad,' Martha MacIsaac, who was the other girl in the movie, had brown hair.

"Judd Apatow walked in and said, 'Make it red.' So they took me to a colorist and made my hair red. It's just kind of been red ever since, except, you know, when it was blond for 'The Amazing Spider-Man.'

"My mom's a redhead. I think maybe there's that, too; the coloring and the association with my mom being a redhead. I really liked that."
