Cara Delevingne embraced her inner night owl in a new ad campaign for Mulberry.

The model-of-the-moment, 20, posed with "adorable" owls in a "drafty old estate" with a backdrop of the British countryside, according to New York's The Cut. The birds, who were perched around her in the photos, brought out her  inner "fashion animal."

The audacious, eye-catching spread was for Mulberry's autumn/winter 2013 collection, featuring some modish handbags.

Snapped by photographer, Tim Walker, the campaign features a woodland theme, according to Elle UK.  It was inspired by "the ideas of bringing the English Countryside indoors," shot at the Shotover House in Oxfordshire, England.

Delevingne, who has been romantically linked with Harry Styles and reportedly hangs out with Rihanna, is no stranger to the brand. She closed their runway show at London Fashion Week in February.

The British model, who Marc Jacobs once referred to as a "dwarf" for being 5'9", posted a sneak peek of the campaign on Instagram on Monday. She looks as if she was almost lifeless and could not move, glazing with fixed eyes into the camera lens.

Her feathered friends look almost as stationary as she does in the fairytale-like snaps.

She showcases arm candy including the Willow, Primrose, Bayswater handbags and zip totes, according to the Daily Mail.

"The Autumn Winter 2013 collection was inspired by the English countryside and cozy, familiar rural scenes but with a dark, mysterious and seductive veil," said Emma Hill, former creative director for Mulberry at the time of the shoot.

She also shed light on why Delevingne was best. "After closing our London Fashion Week show," Hill said, "Cara was the first name in my mind for this season, she's beautiful, bold and British!"
