On Sunday Kim Kardashian celebrated the baby shower of her upcoming baby girl in Beverly Hills. Sunday was an eventful night for the Kardashian brood, not only did they celebrate the new addition to their family but season 8 of their hit reality show premiered on the E! Network finally revealing the gender if the reality star's first child.
The shower was hosted at family friend's house Shelia Azoff, where eyewitnesses saw deliveries of large white tulips and white roses being brought into the home.
Guests began to arrive around 11 a.m. while the guest of honor did not arrive until around 11:45 a.m. E! News reported that the reality star wore a long, flowy ivory dress with flat sandals and her hair styled in three braids and gold ribbons.
According to Us Weekly a hundred of the couple's loved ones attended the event. Famous names included NeNe Leakes, Nicole Richie, Tracy Anderson, Maria Menounos, Malika Haqq, Robin Antin, Brittny Gastineau, Lisa Gastineau, Carole Bayer Sager, Kim Stewart, and Kelly Osbourne were there to celebrate with the reality star and boyfriend, Kanye West.
The star's mother Kris Jenner gave a heartfelt speech, a guest at the party told E! News, "She gave a speech and said she couldn't believe her baby is going to be a mom."
Jenner also welcomed West's family who attended the celebration as well.
As it was a ladies brunch the only men at the shower were Lamar Odom and Scott Disick until Kanye West arrived at the end of the party. The Daily Mail reported that the reality star had to beg her boyfriend to show up to the baby shower because the rapper did not want to appear on the show. However he realized how important it was to his lady and showed face.
Apparently guests had a good time as "big cheers" and "woooooh's!" were heard coming from inside the party as tunes like Bruno Mars and Daft Punk were heard being played in the background.
Guest surprisingly showed up with empty handed however the couple "asked for donations to Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago," according to E!
When the festivities were over the reality star found some time to thank a few of the people who planned her shower.
Kardashian tweeted, "WOW an amazing baby shower! So much luv there Thank u @KrisJenner @KourtneyKardash @KhloeKardashian Shelli & Allison Azoff 4 the magical day."
"Truly such a special day. I honestly feel so blessed and filled with so much love!"
Cameras were also on hand at the baby shower to film for the upcoming season of the family's reality show.
