After almost a year of feuding with New York City Hot 97 radio DJ Peter Rosenberg the rap star made an appearance on the hip-hop morning show.

The feud started back in 2012 at the Hot 97 Summer Jam concert. The radio personality was supposed to introduce the concert's opening act but before doing that he called out Minaj, criticizing her hit song "Starships."

According to the Huffington Post, he said, "I know there are some chicks in here waiting to sing along with 'Starships' later. I'm not talking to y'all now. F--k that bulls--t."

Immediately following the insult both Minaj and Lil Wayne pulled out of the concert and the rapper did not return to the radio station since the incident.

But on Tuesday the "High School" singer returned to the station to end the beef between her and the radio DJ.

International Design Times reported that during her interview Minaj explained why she took offense to the DJ's comments.

"I never found you funny. I never found you entertaining. I never found you smart. I just found you annoying...To me you don't have enough of a resumé to make those comments,"

According to the Huffington Post DJ Peter Rosenberg attempted to defend his resume when the rapper attacked it, "I busted my a** to get here."

He continued, "I generally love hip-hop, so I speak out about things I don't like. So when an artist who I consider to be as important a hip-hop artist as there is in the game today made a record that I deem to be something.

"And I understand we have different opinions about it -- that I viewed as not good for hip-hop, it wasn't something that I was trying to go at you personally about."

Minaj later on told the DJ, "I am not your typical rapper. I am not your typical person .... So I understand when I step out and do a pop song, it's like damn n-g, really. A lot of people are disappointed by that, and I totally get it .... But I wanted to experiment."

In the end after Rosenberg's sort of apology the rapper said, "It's cool," she continued. "It's water under the bridge. It's so long ago. I can't even act like I care anymore. I don't care. I really don't. I appreciate you guys having me."

The rapper did say that she felt bad pulling out of the show and disappointing fans, "In hindsight I should have just did the show."

"I've never allowed that to make me let my fans down. And even if it wasn't a Nicki Minaj fan, just a fan in general...

"Somebody that was there that paid to see the show, I think in hindsight I should have just came out because it was my home town especially. They shouldn't have been brought into whatever we were going through."

Towards the end of the interview the rapper even hints at taking the stage for Summer Jam this year. Watch the entire interview below.
