As summer approaches we are getting ready to change up our hairstyles. Some of us go for shorter looks, or a change in color, while others just prefer to style their hair differently.

We have 4 easy summer hair ideas that are simple, quick, and fun when you are on your way out.

Our first summer hair idea we steal from the gorgeous Zoe Saldana, the idea is loose curls. The Dominican beauty captures the laid back look when she styles her hair with the loose curls.

Hairstylist Kerrie Urban told Allure that by parting the hair down the middle and adding a smoothing cream along with spritz, "It will give hair a little grip and help the curls keep their shape."

Our second summer hair idea is the classic smooth ponytail, for those hot, sticky humid days. Although ponytails are known for being an on the go hairstyle we want you to turn your ponytail glamorous like actress Hayden Panettiere.

With a touch of volume at the crown Panettiere's ponytail looks fresh and polished. Allure suggests that your once hair is blown out, tease the top layer (between the temples) and smooth it over with a comb. Then sweep your ponytail into place and secure it with a hair elastic at the top of the crown.

"High ponytails are great for drawing out cheekbones," Urban says. "They lift everything up."

Our next summer hair idea comes from the beautiful Blake Lively, which is a ponytail but it is styled roughed up and low. The actress' ponytail is a little lower, a little tousled-and has a whole lot of sex appeal.

For people with naturally wavy hair you can enhance your texture with a salt spray, like Bumble and Bumble Surf Spray. However if you have straight locks wrap sections of hair around a one-and-a-half-inch curling iron to add body.

Create a side part with your fingers, tease your hair, gather your hair into a ponytail and secure it with an elastic at the nape of your neck.

"Pull out a few pieces around your face to make it look softer," Urban says. "This one's great for girls with lot of layers-it's effortless."

Our final summer hair idea is the updo voluminous bun that Kate Mara looked lovely in.

Allure insists that Mara's version of the bun is full of volume and looks sophisticated. Gather your hair into a ponytail at the crown using your fingers and tease it lightly with a comb.

"It's OK if there's a little frizz back there," says Urban. "It keeps it soft and pretty."
