Singing sensation Rihanna has joined forces with MAC Cosmetics to create a multiple color collection with the cosmetic giant. The four  collections named "RiRi [Hearts] MAC" are expected to be unveiled mid 2013.

"When you think of makeup, the brand that pops into your mind - for something legit - is MAC," the 25-year-old singer told WWD. "Whatever color you want, it's like 'Let's go to MAC.' I've been using MAC on tour for such a long time it was a natural fit for me. I have always loved makeup, and I always said that if I do it, I want to do it with a credible brand."

The collection will feature a signature red lipstick called RiRi Woo that will hit stores in May. The brand also plans to launch a pop up shop carrying RiRi Woo and other MAC products during the New York leg of the singer's Diamonds tour.

Other products to feature in the "RiRi [Hearts] MAC" line are eye shadows, lipcolors, blush and false lashes along with a holiday collection slated for year-end roll out.

The creative and fashionable singer calls the deal "a no-brainer" and is looking forward to the creation process and the outcome.

"There's so much to choose from, and you can mix different textures with different colors and different greens in different eye shadows. I learned so much about the detail of makeup and what makes things look different. What makes it apply different is really important. Every little detail is important."

She is a die-hard believer in her creativity and doesn't appreciate anyone interfering in it. She also doesn't see much difference between making music, designing apparels and creating a makeup line as it all is a matter of the imagination.

The cosmetic giant is equally excited about the deal and John Dempsey, the group president of Estée Lauder Cos. Inc., MAC's parent company, has called the songstress a "creative partner" rather than a collaborator.
