Actor Channing Tatum and wife Jenna Dewan-Tatum are expecting their first child in 2013, according to People magazine. Tatum admitted that the couple has been planning to have a baby for quite some time and both are looking forward to parenthood.

"I'm ready; I think she's ready," Tatum told the magazine. "The first number that pops into my head is three, but I just want one to be healthy and then we'll see where we go after that."

"It's really easy for us guys to say, 'I want like 15 kids,'" he added. "Jenna will be like, 'Well you better get another wife!'"

The mother-to-be was seen with a baby bump for the first time as she attended the "VH1 Divas" event Dec. 16. Dressed in a flowy gown, the actress proudly sported a visible bump and the mommy-to-be glow.

Tatum was crowned "People's Sexiest Man Alive" in November. With the baby news, Tatum becomes the second actor to have a child while holding the title. The first one was Matt Damon, who was named as the Sexiest Man Alive '07-'08 and had a baby during the year, reports Washington Post.

The couple met during the filming of the hit movie "Step Up" in 2006 where they were paired opposite each other. They have been together since and got married in Malibu in 2009.

Tatum has a number of films lined up which include "Side Effects," G.I. Joe: Retaliation, Fox Catcher and a role of Secret Service agent in White House Down. The 32-year-old recently announced that he planned to take a break from acting in 2013.

With a coveted title, stellar line of movies releasing soon and a baby coming up, Tatum must surely be on cloud nine.
