George Clooney and Matt Damon are all set to recreate the magic of the "Ocean's," trilogy as the two actors will reunite for "The Monuments Men." Damon will be joining the cast of the film which is a period drama and will be directed by Clooney, according to E!Online,
"Yes, I will be in that movie!" Damon told the site during the New York premiere of "Promised Land."
"The Monuments Men" which is set to start filming in Jan. 2013 in Europe is a co-production between 20th Century Fox and Sony Pictures. Based on the book "The Monuments Men: Allied Heroes, Nazi Thieves and the Greatest Treasure Hunt," the film talks about monuments and fine arts and a group of people who are in charge to retrieve and save the pieces of art and other culture-related items stolen by the Nazis before Hitler destroys all of it in World War II.
Clooney plays the role of George Stout, a U.S. Army officer and leading art conservationist. Damon's character hasn't been disclosed yet.
The movie is directed, produced and scripted by Clooney with partner Grant Heslov. The film has a stellar line up of actors that include Daniel Craig, Cate Blanchett, Jean Dujardin of "The Artist" fame, Bill Murray, Hugh Bonneville, Bob Balaban and John Goodman from "Argo."
Clooney and Damon have a great on-screen history together that has impressed audience in numerous movies. The two stars have starred in the "Ocean's" trilogy and, "Syriana." Clooney produced "The Informant" which starred Damon and Clooney's "Confessions of a Dangerous Mind" saw Damon as one of the bachelors alongside Brad Pitt.
The movie is scheduled to release in 2014 and fans surely cannot wait to relive the Clooney-Damon charm.
