Australian beauty has always seemed so cool but so inaccessible to us, but we're happy to report that in recent years, beauty products from the land Down Under have been landing stateside a bit more.

From skincare to makeup, here are the brands to check out if you're interested in the world of Aussie beauty.

The Jojoba Company

This brand focuses on jojoba and uses it as a key ingredient throughout its products. To create the products, the jojoba seeds are extra virgin cold-pressed and filtered 14 times. Some benefits of the oil are that it's bacteria-fighting and helps hydrate, heal, strengthen, and soothe your skin, according to the Jojoba Company's website.

The brand's hero product is its Australian Jojoba oil, which is a one-of-kind product that you can use for just about everything. Benefits of this product include being naturally rich in vitamins A, D, and E as well as omegas 6 and 9. It can help repair damaged skin and address dryness, dehydration, redness, and irritation.

Ere Perez

Founded by Ere Perez, this skincare and makeup brand focuses on natural cosmetics. Perez created the brand in 2002 in Bondi Beach, Sydney. The brand focuses on the power of plants and botanicals paired with science and often uses superfood ingredients.

The brand has a lot of incredible standout products, but we're currently obsessed with its Cacao Bronzing Pot because, firstly, it smells like chocolate. Secondly, it is blendable, buildable, and lightweight, making it the perfect bronzer for when you don't want to wear a lot of makeup.

Aesop

Although everyone knows of Aesop, you might not be aware that it's actually a Melbourne-based company. The brand focuses on skin, hair, and body care products that use plant-based and lab-made ingredients.

Although it is well-known for many of its products, you'll probably be the most familiar with its Resurrection Aromatique Hand Wash, which you'll find in swanky hotels just about everywhere. It contains notes of rosemary, orange, and lavender and cleanses your hands without drying them out.

Lanolips

Lanolips is another brand you might not have realized is also Australian. The brand uses humanely sourced and cruelty-free lanolin, which is a moisturizing oil that is found naturally in sheep's wool. It can hydrate and heal your skin.

Although Lanolips' lip balms are a little bit more well-known, we want to give a shoutout to its 101 Ointments, which are multi-use products that can be used anywhere! Wherever you need some healing and hydrating, such as your lips or your hands, you can apply this ointment.

Alpha-H

This brand focuses on and highlights acid-packed skincare. Alpha-H makes different types of products, but it is most well-known for its exfoliation products.

Its most famous product is its one-step exfoliation tonic called Liquid Gold with 5% Glycolic Acid. This product uses glycolic acid, which can help the skin renewal process, and it can address hyperpigmentation, fine lines, pores, and uneven skin texture. It also uses silk proteins to help protect skin from the environment. It also contains liquorice root extract, which can help soothe skin and regulate melanin production.
