Picture Kelly Ripa, almost in her 50s, entering a hair salon with no makeup and her hair badly needing a re-color. While we're dolling up for a trip to Sephora or even the grocer's, the talk show host goes glam-free on her day out.

It's a breath of fresh air to see a celebrity go without her makeup and have the confidence to head out the city -- unafraid to be seen so bare. What's more remarkable, Kelly Ripa even shared her un-glam photo on Instagram to the delight of her followers.

Ripa was with celebrity hairstylist Ryan Trygstad and captioned the post: "Blondish. Coming this fall to #abc."

Blondish. A new series maybe? Coming this fall to #abc A post shared by  Kelly Ripa (@kellyripa) on Oct 15, 2019 at 3:52pm PDT

Kelly's face was blemish-free and blooming. We can't help but wonder if it's because of her strong marriage with TV producer Mark Consuelos, who had this to say about her photo: "You're very pretty" with lots of hearts and emoticons.

Or, could it be a luxury skincare routine? It turns out, however, the mom of three had no skincare routine before her 40s.

The actress admits she turned to cosmetic treatment with the hope of undoing years of damage. It was her dermatologist Dr. Frederic S. Brandt, whom Ripa says changed her mind "in terms of beauty and taking care of myself."

Ripa also confessed to getting botox treatments from her under-eyes to her armpits. Nonetheless, Ripa had her share of bad botox experiences too.

No-Makeup Tutorial without Botox

Botox is not for everyone, especially not for the very young. So how can we rock the no-makeup look and cut our makeup time by about half an hour? Here are some tips:

1. Use a Face Mask

We love the soft and supple feeling of our face after a shower, but how can we make it last all day? A hydrating face mask is what you need.

2. Choose the Right Primer

Skip the foundation and go for a pore-filling primer that will smooth out pores without clogging them. For extra hydration and glow, we also like an illuminating primer.

3. Embrace your Flaws

Leave out your freckles and the little imperfections on your face because that's what makes a no-makeup look more real.

If you are still coming into terms with your flaws, go for a lightweight concealer. Only conceal dark circles and spot-correct acne. Use the dotted technique and blend the concealer using your index finger.

4. Skip the Powder

Use a cream concealer, cream bronzer and even a cream blush. Skip the highlighter, shimmers and loose powder. Cream cosmetics blend with the skin more easily, so you can master the no-makeup look.

5. Fresh From Workout Flush

Those rosy cheeks you get from an hour at the gym, you can fake it with cream blush. Apply only a tinge of blush on the apples of your cheeks, on the bridge of your nose, and on your temples for a natural blushing look.

6. Brows and Lashes Au Naturel

Skip the brow pencil, brow powder and heavy mascara for a no-makeup look. Simply curl your lashes and apply a single coat only on your top lashes. Brush your brows with a spoolie and use a clear brow gel for this look.

7. Cherry Lollipop Lips

Opt for a tinted lip balm with SPF for lips that look like you just had a cherry lollipop. You can also apply lipstick closest to your natural shade and blot of the excess with tissue.
