After the successful launching of Kylie Cosmetics new highlighter sets last month, it has been sold out right away. Now that fans are starting to receive their packages, some were not pleased to find their Kylighter containers with nothing in it.

According to PopSugar, the brand was drawn to controversy again after some Kylie Cosmetics fans posted photos and expressed their frustration in social media for being allegedly sent empty product containers. Posts were seen mostly on Twitter and Instagram.

The $22 highlighter comes in different shades to match each one's skin tone namely: Banana Split, French Vanilla, Cotton Candy Cream, Salted Caramel, Strawberry Shortcake, and Chocolate Cherry. This came after Kylie was reported to have filed a trademark for her Kylie Cosmetics' Kylighter at the United States Patent and Trademark Office website last year. She then gave away a hint about her new product, which is sold at $130 for the whole bundle, in her Snapchat account

Prior to this, Kylie Cosmetics, as reported in Elle, have faced controversies for their half-empty Lip Kit tubes and broken lip gloss wands. Another report from Buzzfeed also cited that the brand has also been accused of idea stealing and repacking their old lip kits for their limited-edition shades.

On the bright side, with the social media buzz going on, Kylie Cosmetics customer service had taken action and will reportedly send an immediate replacement for the empty Kylighters. Several fans had also posted this positive update in their social media accounts.

Kylie Cosmetics was launched last year after the successful sales of her liquid lipstick and lip liner duo. The brand had since then gained a cult of followers and is now selling a collection of products which now include eyes and face makeups.
