Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom have officially split. Representatives for the pair confirmed the news on Tuesday.

"Before rumors or falsifications get out of hand, we can confirm that Orlando and Katy are taking respectful, loving space at this time," their reps said in a statement to People Magazine.

It didn't seem too long ago when the stars were all loved up on a vacation together in Hawaii. However, despite being together for the Vanity Fair Oscars party on Sunday night, it seemed like they walked the red carpet separately.

Despite their loved-up display at the post-Oscars party, rumors have been flying regarding their separation beforehand. If it seems quite sudden, it's because it kind of is, as the 32-year-old pop star just threw a star-studded 40th birthday bash for her man in January.

However, not everything may be hearts and roses for the pair. In Touch Weekly Magazine claimed that things may have already been rocky between the two since November, stating that the actor already confessed to his pals that he'd decided to end their relationship not long after Halloween, claiming that he's not yet ready to get married and have kids - after all, he already has a five-year-old son, Flynn, with ex-wife Miranda Kerr, with whom he separated in 2013.

On the other side of the coin, Mirror UK noted that Perry's camp said that she was the one to finish things off with the "Pirates of the Caribbean" star, stating that they were currently on different paths in life - and she has to move on from him, whether she wants to or not.

It's not clear though when they actually came to terms with their separation, as the pair was still seen together at a Halloween Bash as Bill and Hillary Clinton, and later on were seen spending Thanksgiving and Christmas together - Orlando was even taking snaps with Katy's dog just last week.
