Bathing can be an irritating process for a child, but with the help of a good bath bomb, the entire cleaning process could turn out to be fun for both the child and the parent. However, it was certainly not the case with Leanne Keating, who bought a passion fruit and watermelon bath bomb from Wilko's worth £0.95 and used it on her tub while bathing her 10-year-old daughter Tia. The bath turned out to be disastrous as she was left with a severe skin rash after a few days of bathing.

As reported by Cosmopolitan UK, Keating said that after her daughter's first experience with a bath bomb, she complained of skin irritation, which seemed to be getting worse as the time passes. She rushed her to the hospital, fearing it to be meningitis, which was later denied by the hospital. But the skin irritation wasn't decreasing at all. Instead, it kept spreading towards many parts of her body, including her face, arms, thighs, and neck.

"I didn't believe that bath bomb would be the reason behind it, but when I confronted with a friend of mine, who is medically trained, about her condition, the only thing that appeared different was the bath bomb. She had no skin sensitivity and there were no warnings labelled on the bag, other than "Keep away from babies," Keating said.

According to Allure, Wilko has responded claiming that the company has yet to receive any complaints about the product that has a 4.5 out of 5 rating on the product's review page. "We are sorry to hear of Tia and Mrs. Keating's condition and we would definitely launch a direct and accurate probe regarding the matter while continuing to communicate with Mrs. Keating," said the company official.

The big question that now arises is "does bath bomb really causes severe skin rashes?" Mrs. Keating and Tia truly seem to believe now.
