June 3 marked the flagship store opening of luxury fragrance and accessories brand, BYREDO, a significant milestone for the brand.

The Swedish company unveiled their premiere brick and mortar concept store in the U.S. having previously sold products exclusively in Barney's department stores and in their original flagship store in Sweden.

The opening of their 62 Wooster shop in New York's SoHo may indeed surpass any expectation cult lovers of the brand may have had, with the store's 1,345-square foot space hearkening back to the days of a bespoke and traditionally decadent shopping experience.

Upon entering the store, shoppers can first peruse BYREDO's signature colognes and perfumes, then the eye wear section, until finally, they can head to the back room lounge area to recline on pony hair couches to view BYREDO's collection of leather handbags lining the shop's Italian Terrazzo walls.

The concept store was designed by BYREDO's founder and creative director, Ben Gorham, who worked with Swedish architect and designer, Christian Hallerod.

"This is the first time BYREDO's universe is presented in its entirety," states Gorham.

"Some of the products in the store are from projects we have been working on for a few years, so it's exciting for me to see it all come together here in the New York Store. Beyond the brand's aesthetic backdrop, the shop will be a place where you can take your time to explore our products and their reason for being," he says.
