Summertime brings warm weather, sunshine, and relaxation, but if there's one thing that isn't relaxed during the warmer months, it's our hair. From now until that first October chill it seems as though frizz-fighting solutions become an essential part of our daily beauty routines.

Our friend and celebrity stylist, Josue Perez has given us the scoop on 7 foolproof tips for getting sleek and smooth blowouts. This pro has styled the likes of Karlie Kloss, Sarah Jessica Parker and Abigail Breslin just to name a few!

From explaining how to keep the hair cuticle closed to prevent frizz, using a blow dryer concentrator, and his best product recommendations to help along the way, Josue's frizz-free advice will help your blowout beat the heat all summer long!

Savour This Shower Secret. "When you get out of the shower, towel dry hair 50%, leaving it half wet," Perez advised. The pro explained that hair has "porosity," so the leftover dampness/moisture helps close hair pores and give it a natural shine when blow dried.

End Towel Tantrums. After towel drying, never forget to use a heat protectant spray. Perez recommends to try the It's a 10 Miracle Leave-In Product ($30). "It protects against heat damage but will never weigh down the hair," he said.

Invest In Your Best Blow Dryer. "Ionic blow dryers are crucial to not just frizz-free blow outs, but they also protect the hair," the expert revealed. "I use the Rowenta Inspiration Pro Dryer ($150) when styling because it cuts drying time up to 20% without using too much heat. The ionic generators protect hair from styling damage and seal in cuticle for fast, frizz-free results," Perez explained.

Try Frizz-Free Techniques. Our hair care guru also says that using a concentrator on the blow dryer allows you to control the air direction for a smother look. Without the concentrator, the dryer will puff the hair cuticle, leading to frizz!
