Actress Lindsay Lohan stars in a new "Super Bowl" commercial for Esurance, E! News reported.

The 28-year old actress, who previously served jail time for two DUI arrests back in 2007, is shown in the ad driving a car, speeding by a school bus and a "school zone" sign.

In the clip, Lohan wrecks the front of her car. The car is shown with its license plate dangling. She continues driving then comes to a screeching halt at a curb.

The next scene shows Lohan having a conversation with two young kids and then she proceeds to drive more. Lohan is shown wearing her seatbelt as she drives the car in the ad.

The "Mean Girls" star announced her role in the Super Bowl ad on Twitter ahead of its TV debut Sunday, according to the Chicago Sun Times.

In the post, Lohan says, "Maybe you've heard about me being in an #ad for @esurance. Well it's #sorta true."

Behind-the-scenes clips were also made available prior to the ad being aired Sunday. In the clips, Lohan admitted that the commercial shoot was the first time she had been back on a set since she worked on a play.

"I didn't know what to do," she said, in reference to her filming the commercial, according to Daily Mail

Last year, auto insurance company Esurance's Super Bowl commercial starred actor John Krasinski and featured details about a $1.5 million cash giveaway, Ad Week reported.

Esurance also announced a second commercial for the "Super Bowl" via the company's Twitter account, saying, "Oh, we #sorta forgot to mention... we've got another ad during the Big Game. Stay tuned to find out who's in it. (You might be surprised.)"
