"Gossip Girl" alum Blake Lively is now a mother. She and hunky husband Ryan Reynolds reportedly welcomed their first child before the year 2014 ended.
The 27-year-old actress and the 38-year-old actor welcomed their first bundle of joy near their Bedford, N.Y., home earlier than Lively's expected due date, according to Page Six.
An insider close to the couple said that both the baby and the new mom were already doing well, but the "Savages" star's rep has not yet dished more details about the newborn's gender and name.
Back in October, Lively and Reynolds proudly announced the good news that they were expecting through the actress's lifestyle website, Preserve.
Blake even admitted that she's been eagerly waiting for her chance at motherhood since she was young, reports Radar Online.
"Its something that I've always wanted ever since I was a little girl," she said. "I knew I wanted to have a lot of kids because I had come from a big family so it was always important to me. So it's just the excitement of that finally being here."
Interestingly, Reynolds also couldn't contain his excitement over his wife's pregnancy that time. In an interview with People, the "R.I.P.D" actor jokingly dished on their baby's possible name.
"On the plane over here I was trying to think of baby names. I don't want a name that's anything pretentious or, like, Hollywood-y," he said. "So I'm going with Excalibur Anaconda Reynolds ... that's if it's a girl."
Putting the joke aside, Reynolds noted that he has learned not be afraid of committing mistakes as a father.
"I'm just excited about having a buddy," he said. "For a lot of new dads, you tend to dwell on the mistakes you don't want to make. I'm at that stage still where I'm focused primarily on being open and understanding and leaving a lot of room for error."
Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds tied the knot in 2012 after meeting on the set of their 2011 flick "Green Lantern." Lively previously dated "Gossip Girl" co-star Penn Badgley while Reynolds was formerly married to Scarlett Johansson.
