Matthew McConaughey starred in a new Lincoln MKZ Hybrid car commercial, which was uploaded on YouTube on Dec. 28,  Variety reported.

The clip featured McConaughey talking about "finding the balance," according to People.

"It's not about huggin' trees," McConaughey says in the video while driving at Griffith Park in Los Angeles. "It's not about bein' wasteful, either. You just got to find that balance, for takin' care of yourself takes care of more than ... just yourself. That's the sweet spot,"

This is not the first time McConaughey did a commercial for the luxury vehicle. The "True Detective" actor starred in a similar ad in September about "going back to move forward."

The first clip earned a parody from Jim Carrey in "Saturday Night Live."

"Sometimes you gotta go back to actually move forward," Carrey said while imitating McConaughey. "I mean, take a big step back. Like go from winning an Oscar to doing a car commercial,"

Ellen Degeneres also spoofed another Lincoln commercial with McConaughey that gained over 5 million views on YouTube.

Luxury car commercials with Hollywood actors are a trend nowadays. It started in 2010 when Jon Hamm appeared in a 30-second ad for Mercedes Benz. As years went by, car commercials became more ambitious and elaborate, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Early this year, BMW hired "Hannibal" actor Michael Pitt for their advertisement. Jaguar tapped "Homeland" star Damian Lewis for their 13-minute short film entitled "Jaguar F-Type Presents Desire."

In a separate ad, Tom Hiddleston, Ben Kingsley and Mark Strong teamed up to play as villains in a Jaguar commercial.  Nicolas Hoult also played as an evil scientist in another Jaguar ad, which has a "James Bond" theme.

Meanwhile, McConaughey's latest Lincoln ad will debut on New Year's Day during the college football games.
