Cameron Diaz is finally a bride-to-be. The "Sex Tape" star has reportedly gotten engaged this week to beau Benji Madden.

While Diaz has remained tight-lipped about the engagement, multiple sources already confirmed to Us Weekly that she is to marry Madden soon.

It can be noted that the "Charlie's Angels" actress and the Good Charlotte rocker officially became an item in May. Though their seven-month dating relationship is a tad short for some, it's very obvious that the two are very inseparable and are madly in love with each other.

"Everyone thinks it's wild but are so happy for them," an insider said. "Benji always tends to fall in love easily, but this time it's for real and he landed a great girl. They obviously both make each other incredibly happy and there's nothing better than that."

Interestingly, a source shared that while the 42-year-old actress is a non-believer of matrimony, the former band member is actually the traditional type.

"He is more traditional then her. She really doesn't care about getting married but wants babies. He wants to get engaged and married first," the source shared, reports Gawker.

Diaz previously dated Alex Rodriguez and Justin Timberlake, but she was never married. So getting engaged to Benji is a major step-up in her love life.

Just this week, the "Bad Teacher" star sparked engagement rumours after she was photographed sporting a prominent gold band.

The engagement is of course contrary to Diaz's previous statements with Marie Claire that she is not at all interested in looking for a lifetime partner and start a family of her own, Daily Mail has learned.

"I'm not looking for a husband or marriage or not not looking for that stuff," she said. "I'm living, not thinking what I should or shouldn't be doing with my life."

Nevertheless, Cameron is pretty welcome to join the Madden family. Back in July, Nicole Richie - the wife of Benjii's twin brother and bandmate Joel - dished that she's all for it as long as it makes her brother-in-law happy.

"I approve of anything that's going to make Benji happy," the reality star said.
