Lil Wayne's fans are far from happy over the delayed release of the rapper's "Tha Carter V" album.

In fact, they are dissatisfied enough to start an online petition demanding that Cash Money, Lil Wayne's label, release the highly anticipated album over the holidays, MTV reported.

More than 350 fans have already signed the petition via iPetitions.com and the number is steadily growing.

“We would like to take the time to request that Baby & Cash Money Records consider releasing Lil Wayne aka Lil Tunechi new album for the holidays," reads the brief statement attached to the petition.

"We the fans have truly been looking forward to a new release and hope you will reconsider your decision not to release it. Thank you so much in advance for your consideration.”

Lil Wayne stirred a social media frenzy on Thursday when he shared a series of angry and then apologetic tweets, revealing the real reason why his album has been delayed several times.

In his posts, the "Lollipop" hitmaker apologized to his fans before explaining that his longtime label boss and father-figure, Bryan "Baby" Williams," was the reason behind the delay of the album's release.

"To all my fans, I want u [sic] to know that my album won't and hasn't been released bekuz [sic] Baby & Cash Money Rec. refuse to release it," Wayne wrote.

He followed it with another tweet, saying: "This is not my fault. I am truly and deeply sorry to all my fans but most of all to myself and my family for putting us in this situation."

Wayne shared his frustration about the situation and expressed his desire to leave the label he has been a part of since he was just 9 nine years old.

"I want off this label and nothing to do with these people but unfortunately it ain't that easy. I am a prisoner and so is my creativity. Again, I am truly sorry and I don't blame yea if ya fed up with waiting for me and this album. But thank you."

Lil Wayne is not the first Cash Money artist who has spoken out against the music company's management flaws. Rapper Tyga had previously spoken of his beef with the label according to MTV.

Tyga posted a series of tweets in October, explaining why his album "Gold" still doesn't have a release date.

"Gold album been done. My label holding me hostage so I can't release nothing. Might just leak it for my fans then let them make $ off it," he said.
