Heidi Montag recently revealed in an interview that she does not personally know Amanda Bynes, but she invited her anyway to stay at their guest house after photos of the former Nickelodeon star sleeping at a mall surfaced Thursday, Nov. 6.

Montag, 28, reached out to Bynes, also 28, via Twitter after the "Easy A" star was photographed by TMZ Thursday morning sleeping on a couch in the middle of The Beverly Center in Los Angeles. "@amandabynes you are more than welcome to crash in our guest house in Santa Barbara if you need somewhere to stay! DM me!" wrote the "The Hills" alum on the microblogging site.

In a new on-camera interview with Extra, Montag said that she spoke to her husband Spencer Pratt about it before she publicly invited the troubled star to come stay at their Santa Barbara guest house.

"It's out of L.A. and it's nice and relaxing," Montag said of their guest house. "If she doesn't have somewhere to go, she definitely can stay for free at our house so she doesn't have to be sleeping on a couch. She hasn't contacted me, but I'm hoping that she will."

And probably one of the reasons why Bynes has not replied yet to Montag's invitation is the fact that they both do not know each other personally.

"I haven't ever met Amanda, but I think she's a very talented actress," the former reality TV star revealed. "I grew up watching her works. I think that she's one of the most talented actresses in Hollywood, and she has a great path ahead of her."

Bynes accused her father of sexual abuse on Twitter in October, but she retracted her claims before she was placed on psychiatric hold, according to Us Weekly. The "What I Like About You" alum was released from the facility at the end of the month, at which time she claimed she had been diagnosed with bipolar disorder.

On Nov. 4, Bynes tweeted: "I was diagnosed bi - polar and manic depressive so I'm on medication and I'm seeing my psychologist and psychiatrist weekly so I'm fine :D."

She also complained about her parents, who she claims are withholding money from her.

"I hate my parents for still not giving me money for a hotel. What is wrong with them? My lawyer is working to have them fully removed from being my conservator because they don't deserve control over my money. They are miserable in their life and I will fight to get control of my finances taken away from them!" she wrote in a series of tweets.
