A swarm of Los Angeles Police District officers detained YMCMB artist Tyga while he was on a music video shoot in South Central, L.A., TMZ reported.

The 24-year-old was driving a Rolls Royce for the video of his new song "Make It Work" when cops pulled him over and arrested him for reckless driving.

"They were shooting a rap video in the area of 76th and Kansas. LAPD air unit observed a vehicle drive away from that location and observed the vehicle driving recklessly," an officer told Us Weekly.

LAPD officers conducted "a traffic stop at Hoover and Florence where the driver was cited and released for a traffic violation," according to the officer.

"Officers have the discretion to detain any occupants in a traffic stop. I do know for sure he was cited and released at the scene. The LAPD School Police are the ones who cited and released the driver," the officer added.

While he was eventually released, Tyga missed the "Between The Sheets" tour, which he was set to be part of. Also, his bodyguard was arrested for having a gun that was not registered in California, Vibe reported.

Meanwhile, Tyga is being rumored to be the current boyfriend of the 17-year-old "Keeping Up With The Kardashians" star Kylie Jenner.

Rumors that Jenner's sister Kim Kardashian reportedly is against their relationship sparked when Kanye West's wife took to Instagram to post a photo that originally included Tyga but was cropped.

The photo with a caption "#Family #HappyBdayFrench" was taken during the recent birthday party of Khloe Kardashian's rapper boyfriend, French Montana.

Born Michael Ray Nguyen-Stevenson, the 24-year-old rapper used Tyga as his stage name, which stands for Thank You God Always.

At the 2014 MTV Video Music Awards, Tyga and Lil Wayne were nominated for Best Collaboration for their song "Loyal" but lost to Beyonce Knowles and Jay Z Carter's "Drunk In Love."
