With a lot of erotic fan fiction about Benedict Cumberbatch's Sherlock Holmes on the Internet, one can assume that a lot of people have wondered what sex with the suave detective would be like. Well, those fans should wonder no more, as the 38-year-old British hunky actor himself described in detail what Sherlock would be like in bed.

When asked by Elle UK how he would play a sex scene as Sherlock, Cumberbatch said, "I'd probably test the latex, if it involved prophylactics, beforehand."

"I'd do a little experiment to do with durability, length, girth, and um, strength," he added. "And um, I would probably take a lot of vitamin supplements to make sure that I could perform, and had had my sleep, and probably not had many cigarettes. Or drink, for that matter. Not that he does drink."

When the interviewer commented that the sleuth is being proficient as always, but lacking enthusiasm, the Primetime Emmy-winning actor, butted in, saying, "No wait for it. I would probably watch a lot of porn. I might have to shave, um, areas to fit in with a modern idea of bodily hair. And then I would be devastating."

"I'd know exactly how to please a woman," he said, speaking for his character. "I'd know exactly where to put my fingers, where to put my tongue, where to put my - his I should say - his fingers, his tongue. Think about violinists, think about what they can do with their fingers."

He continued: "And I'd know exactly how to get that person into it, and get pleasure out of making that person feel pleasure to the point that I probably wouldn't even have to enter. But when I did it would be explosive."

When asked by the magazine if Sherlock ever lose control, "The Imitation Game" actor replied, "I think to have really good sex he would probably have to."

And while many fans would definitely love to see Sherlock in that love scene with a female character on the show, there are also some who have been urging the network to make the detective and his partner Dr. John Watson (Martin Freeman) gay lovers on the series.

"Oh my God. I get sent things that would make your hair turn white," the show's co-creator Mark Gatiss told  Australian magazine DNA, as quoted by The Mirror. "It's not just Sherlock and Watson holding hands on a park bench, I can tell you that. Some of them are incredibly graphic."

And it seems that Cumberbatch has already read a lot of these gay "Sherlock" fan fiction.

"[Writers] either want to make John into a sort of cute little toy, or me into a cute toy, or we're fucking in space on a bed, chained together," he told Out magazine. "It's always, like, one of them is tired, one comes back from work, the other is horny, a lump appears in his trousers, and then they're at it. It's usually me getting it - I'm biting Watson's dog tags."
