Jude Law is going to be a father of five!

The 41-year-old British actor, known for his role as Dr. John Watson in the 2009 film "Sherlock Holmes" and its 2011 sequel "Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows," and his former girlfriend Catherine Harding aka Cat Cavelli are set to welcome their first baby together.

"I can confirm that Jude Law and Catherine Harding are expecting a child together in the spring," the actor's rep said in a statement, according to People.  "Whilst they are no longer in a relationship, they are both wholeheartedly committed to raising their child."

"They consider this a private matter and other than this confirmation no statement will be made. I ask that you respect the privacy of all parties involved and their families," the rep added.

Harding is said to be around five months pregnant, according to Daily Mail. The 23-year-old singer-songwriter reportedly enjoyed a romance with the Oscar-nominated actor while spending six weeks with him on location in the Czech Republic where he was believed to have been filming "Spy."

Law is already a proud father to three children with former wife Sadie Frost (sons Rafferty, 18, and Rudy, 12, and daughter Iris, who turns 14 this month) and to another daughter, Sophia, 5, with model Samantha Burke.

In 2009, Law opened up about fatherhood in an interview with Parade."Being a daddy is what counts," he said. "I used to sleep until noon, but it's not so bad to have to get up at 7:00 a.m. and give them breakfast. My daughter made me realize that if there's anything that's going to make a man of you, it's having your will broken by a little girl."

Just this January, Law told USA Today that his teenage children are "in equal parts delighted and embarrassed" by his popularity.

"[I am] immediately responsible for them as their father and responsibility stretches to how I put myself out there as a public figure, as an actor and I know nowadays that it has repercussions on them so I guide myself by them and indeed have to kind of structure my life, my living circumstances and how I portray myself for them, really," he explained in an interview with Cinema.com.
