Taylor Swift has recently been very vocal about the fact that romance is not one of her priorities at this time, and in a new interview with InStyle the 24-year-old singer gave another reason why she is not currently dating someone.

"I'm too young to get married," the "Shake It Off" hitmaker told the women's fashion magazine, as quoted by Celebuzz.  "Not age wise, but I know myself, so why try to meet someone right now when I know I'm too young to do something serious?"

In a new cover story interview for British Vogue, the Reading, Pennsylvania-born recording artist also opened up about why she is not in a relationship right now.

"Dating or finding someone is the last thing on my mind," she said. "I can't picture how it could work with the way my life is. I don't know how a guy is supposed to walk next to his girlfriend when there are 20 men with cameras, and he can't protect his girlfriend because that's the life she chose."

"I just don't see how it could work, so I don't think about it, and I kind of run from it when it presents itself," added the seven-time Grammy-winning singer, who previously dated John Mayer, Jake Gyllenhaal, Joe Jonas, Taylor Lautner and Harry Styles, among others.  "I don't think any guy really... They think that they would want to get to know me, and maybe date me, but I don't think they want what comes with it."

Swift also talked about what she feels regarding the public's very keen interest in her love life in a recent Rolling Stone cover story.

"I feel like watching my dating life has become a bit of a national pastime, and I'm just not comfortable providing that kind of entertainment anymore," she told the magazine. "I don't like giving comedians the opportunity to make jokes about me at awards shows. I don't like it when headlines read 'Careful, Bro, She'll Write a Song About You,' because it trivializes my work."

"I don't like how all these factors add up to build the pressure so high in a new relationship that it gets snuffed out before it even has a chance to start," she added.

And while it is clear that Swift is not currently looking for someone to date, is she open to the idea of having children in the future?

"I don't know if I'll have kids," she revealed to InStyle. "It's impossible not to picture certain scenarios and how you would try to convince them that they have a normal life when, inevitably, there will be strange men pointing giant cameras at them from the time they are babies."
