Dan Hall, creator of the "DayZ," confirmed that the zombie-survival video game will be available across different platforms, Eurogamer reported.

"DayZ" is a standalone game based on the mod Hall created from the 2009 shooter "ARMA 2." The mod was first released exclusively for the PC platform in 2012. But during the EGX convention, Hall was asked if his game will be made available for the Xbox One.

According to the creator, he and the studio Bohemia Interactive is planning to launch the game for other consoles.

"'DayZ' is definitely going to be a multi-platform title - that's the firm vision from Bohemia's standpoint," Hall explained. "But we'll announce what all the other platforms are as we get to that point."

Hall's answer certainly clarified the rumors that the standalone game will only be available for the PC and PlayStation 4.

Shortly after Hall announced the PS4 release of the game, he was criticized by fans after speculating that it will be exclusive to Sony's console.

But then, Hall went into a meeting with Microsoft which strongly suggests that an Xbox One version of the game will be developed. Hall, however, declined to disclose the details of the meeting, according to Game Spot.

"I have nothing against consoles, and there's some really interesting and exciting things happening," he said. "That was one of the cool things about meeting with Microsoft."

"There were definitely things they said that I'm not allowed to talk about that I was like, 'Wow! That's interesting. Why don't you tell people that?' But I guess they want to make sure everything all goes together and that," he added."

For now, "DayZ" is scheduled to be released for the PlayStation 4 console sometime in 2016. However, Hall noted that Sony has not yet decided if gamers can test out the game's alpha version through its Early Access, Explosion reported.

"There's been no decision made about when 'DayZ' releases," he said. "That would depend on what Sony provides. I don't think they've said anything about...Everyone said they're thinking about [Early Access]."
