Nicki Minaj will host the 2014 MTV Europe Music Awards (EMAs) on Nov. 9 at SSE Hydro in Glasgow, Scotland, BBC News reported.

The 31-year-old rapper made the big announcement on Instagram just after midnight Los Angeles Time. "So excited to announce that I will not only perform, but I have the honorable task of HOSTING this year's MTV European Music Awards!!!!!!! AAAAAHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!! The show will shoot in GLASGOW, SCOTLAND for its 20th Anniversary ON NOVEMBER 9th!!!!" she wrote on the photo-sharing site along with a photo of her sitting on a royal throne.

The MTV EMAs will air live across MTV's global network of more than 60 channels reaching nearly 700 million households around the world. The awards show will also be syndicated, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Previous hosts of the awards show include Katy Perry, Heidi Klum and Selena Gomez, Contactmusic noted.

Minaj has been nominated in four categories including best female, best hip hop, biggest fans and best look.

Just like the "Anaconda" hitmaker, English-Irish boy band One Direction, British soul singer Sam Smith, Canadian singer-songwriter Kiesza and rappers Iggy Azalea and Eminem have also been nominated in four categories.

Perry has the most number of nominations, eyeing to take home seven awards including best female, pop act, video and live act.

Ariana Grande has six nominations, while 5 Seconds of Summer and Pharrell Williams have five each.

5 Seconds of Summer and One Direction are competing head-to-head in the Biggest Fans category, while Cheryl Cole won the wildcard vote to be in the running for best UK & Ireland act. The winner of that will enter the best worldwide category, according to BBC News.

MTV Europe Music Awards honors artists from around the world and across genres. Bruce Gillmer and Richard Godfrey is exec producing the musical event, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Two weeks after the awards show, Minaj is set to release her third studio album "The Pinkprint."
