John Stamos' mom, Loretta Phillips Stamos recently passed away and the former "Full House" star is mourning his loss.

On Tuesday, Stamos posted a touching memoir via Instagram and wrote, "The love of my life passed away yesterday (Sept 22) in her home surrounded by her children and grandchildren. My mother had enough love to fuel a small country. She was truly one of a kind and will live forever in the hearts of all who knew her."

Stamos also recounted a time a few days before his mother passed away when he asked her if she remembered a certain inconsequential event, E! News reported.

"A few weeks ago, I asked my mom if she remembered an inconsequential event - she simply replied, 'I only remember the love.' #Brokenhearted #iloveyouthemost."

Last summer, Stamos celebrated his 50th birthday and his mom was there to share the joyous occasion with him.

At that time, the actor tweeted, "last few hours being 40 w/ the woman that birthed me. She said conception in Vegas was so much fun - I said TMI."

Meanwhile, Stamos reached out to his fans and supporters and encouraged them to help support The Vanguard Cancer Foundation, the very same foundation that his mother founded, News Hence noted.

"If inclined please donate to the charity, founded by my mother, The Vanguard Cancer Foundation," he ended his post.

The non-profit organization was founded with the sole aim of helping cancer patients receive personalized and intelligent care.

Stamos' touching throwback photo of himself being carried in the arms of his mother has been liked more than 40,000 times via Instagram.

Fans have also expressed their condolences to the actor and his entire family. Instagram user @muzimiztress wrote, "HUGS! My thoughts & prayers are with you and all who loved her."

Instagram user @reginah162 added, "So very sorry for your loss! Thoughts and prayers to you and all your family!"
