"The Voice" judge Blake Shelton was one of those who helped solve a 9/11 mystery through the initiative of a Massachusetts-based university professor named Elizabeth Stringer Keefe.

Since the Sept. 11 attacks, Keefe has taken to social networking sites to find the people in a faded and torn wedding photo with six people in it including the bride and the groom found by one of her friends in the debris near ground zero, Washington Post reported.

"Every year on #911 I post this photo hoping 2 return 2 owner. Found at #groundzero #WTC in 2001. Pls RT," Keefe tweeted the photo.

After repeatedly posting the photo to Facebook and Twitter asking anyone with information to respond, Keefe found everyone in the wedding photo is still alive. Living outside of San Francisco, the bride and groom Christine and Christian Loredo now have a 6-year-old son.

"I think it's nice to know that people out there care so much for strangers. It gives me confidence in humanity," the bride in the photo told ABC News.

Shelton was one of those who took to Twitter to share the wedding photo.

"@ProfKeefe is looking for the owner of this photo found at ground zero 2001 @blakeshelton can you RT pic to help?" "Boys 'Round Here" hit maker retweeted Monica Rabbitt's tweet.

Meanwhile, the country music singer is set to perform on the 48th Annual Country Music Association Awards, which will air on the ABC Television Network on Nov. 5 live from the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, News OK reported.

Also performing at the event is Shelton's wife Miranda Lambert. Both with three nominations, the couple are the reigning CMA Male and Female Vocalists of the Year.

Performances from "American Idol" judge Keith Urban with four nominations and Luke Bryan with three nominations are also expected during the upcoming CMA, which will be hosted by Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood for the seventh consecutive year.
