Capcom's "Resident Evil Revelations 2" will be split into four parts serving as episodes, IGN reported.

According a press release from the company, each game episode will contain hours of gameplay and will be released a week apart. Each episode will end with a cliffhanger to keep gamers anticipating for the next installment.

To play "Resident Evil Revelations 2," gamers can choose from two payment option. The first is by downloading each episode for $5.99 each. Gamers can also choose to buy a season pass for $24.99. This special package will automatically download each installment upon its release.

Once the last episode has been released, Capcom will release the entire game as a retail disc for $39.99.

Each episode download comes with additional game content.

The game will follow the story of fan-favorite Claire Redfield who now works for the anti-bioterrorism group Terra Save. She is joined by a new female character, Moira Burton, daughter of Barry Burton from previous "Resident Evil" games, according to Gamasutra.

While the two are attending an event for Terra Save, they are attacked by an unknown group of armed forces and are taken to an abandoned detention facility.

Redfield and the young Burton will have to work together to unmask the group behind their abduction and battle the various kinds of monsters lurking inside the facility.

Capcom also mentioned in the press release that it will also launch an online chat room so gamers can discuss their experiences while playing each episode, Jostiq reported.

"Fans will be able to share in the experience and participate in the weekly conversation around the drama when it releases early next year," the company stated. "Capcom will be releasing details on how fans can join in and start speculation on the horror event of the season soon."

"Keep your eyes on the 'Resident Evil' Facebook page and the official website www.residentevil.com for all of the series chatter as it happens," it continued.

"Resident Evil Revelations 2" will be available for the Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4 and PC by the start of 2015.
