Check out the latest from Cushnie et Ochs Spring 2015 show! Antonio Corral Calero, Moroccanoil's Global Creative Director, complemented the design teams Egyptian inspired-collection with a sleek ponytail (with a twist).

The overall inspiration was Cleopatra in the desert sunset. Picture that! 

With a lengendary Egyptian queen in mind, the hair was put in a simple, sleek ponytail - designed to invoke ancient Egyptian mythology and the sexiness of Cleopatra. 

Here's how to snag the regal runway look for yourself:

Prep

Apply Moroccanoil Treatment ($49) to damp hair to condition and hydrate strands for easier styling.

Next, spritz the brand's Heat Styling Protection ($28) and Glimmer Shine ($22) throughout entire head to help achieve maximum hold and control.

Style

Blow dry hair smooth using a Boar Bristle Brush ($84) and finish with spray of Luminous Hairspray ($22).

Next, pull hair into tight ponytail at the crown using a boar bristle paddle brush and secure with a bungee elastic.

Next, take 1" section of ponytail and spray with Heat Styling Protection for long-lasting hold. Wrap hair around the elastic  to conceal it and secure.

Using Moroccanoil's Titanium Ceramic Hair Styling Iron ($150), stylists straightened the ponytails in 1" sections for a super-straight, sleek style.

With a second elastic, secure hair 1½" from base. Gently loosen section between elastics to create voluminous, "puffed" element of sophistication at the top of the ponytail. Pin the elastic to the hair underneath.

Complete with a spritz of Glimmer Shine for a luminous gilded finish, and Luminous Hairspray for long-lasting hold.

We love this new take on the classic ponytail. Simple and still super sophisticated, take notes on this runway look for a new go-to style when you need to jazz up an updo, but still want to let hair hang with royal sass.
