FX's "American Horror Story" Season 4 subtitled "Freak Show" is set to freak its show fans out when it returns this fall. However, as early as now the hit horror series is already giving the creeps through its newly released teasers.

It appears that AHS co-creator Ryan Murphy wasn't kidding when he warned EW in May that the forthcoming season of the horror anthology will feature "the most terrifying clown ever!" One of the teasers for the show can confirm the nightmarish appearance of the comic entertainer, Entertainment Weekly has learned.

Another trailer puts a sword swallower in the spotlight while he performs his rather disturbing act with sound effects that will make everyone gulp or touch their throats to check if they're still intact.

There's also another teaser for those who are into the gross stuff. The third clip shows a close-up view of a man who has a two-splitted tongue licking a lollipop in freaky fashion, noted Hollywood Life.

Fans should also watch out for another freaky character who has a literally twisted smile.

Looks like the fourth iteration of FX's hit horror series is going to be scarier than last season's "Coven."

Actress Emma Roberts, who is returning for "Freak Show" has already confirmed that fans can definitely expect a darker show than the witchcraft-themed season. "I have to say, 'Freak Show' is really scarier... I read the script and I was having nightmares," she told E! News.

"American Horror Story: Freak Show" stars Jessica Lange as Elsa Mars, the German expat owner of the last remaining freak show in America. Set in the 1950s, the all-new season also stars Sarah Paulson, Frances Conroy, Kathy Bates, Angela Bassett, Denis O'Hare, Evan Peters, Matt Bomer, Michael Chiklis and Patti LaBelle, among others.

While Paulson is playing two-headed character Bette and Dot, Bates, who won an Emmy for her "Coven" role is portraying the bearded lady. On the other hand, Bassett is set to play a woman with three breasts while Chilkis is to play a strongman.

"Freak Show" is set to premiere on Oct. 8 at 10 p.m. on FX.
