Hollywood actor Alec Baldwin figured in a scuffle with a photographer outside an East Hampton playground on Sunday.

According to freelance photographer Matt Agudo, he was taking pictures of the actor, who was with his wife Hilaria and their 1-year-old daughter Carmen, when Baldwin grabbed him by his shirt, shoved him and tried to put him in a headlock.

When the cops arrived, Baldwin, 56, angrily shouted at them, a Huffington Post report said.

He demanded that the photographer be taken into custody, the report said. "I want this guy arrested," screamed Baldwin as he left the scene.

It was, however, the actor who police were about to arrest, according to a report by TMZ. Agudo claimed the first officer who responded saw Baldwin get hold of him and put him in a headlock, TMZ said.

When the cops finally pacified the situation, the two shook hands before walking away, the report said. Agudo was quoted as saying he decided not to press charges because Baldwin is still under court supervision.

In May, the actor was arrested for riding a bicycle the wrong way on Fifth Avenue in Manhattan. He engaged in an altercation with the officers during the arrest, which resulted in him getting a conditional discharge effective until January.

The judge warned him to be "a good boy from now on."

The photographer was quoted as saying, "I don't want him to go to jail and be away from his daughter. I know he loves her a lot."

A close friend of Baldwin's denied the photographer's claim that the actor put him in a headlock, a source told TMZ. The source also said Agudo allegedly called his wife names when she was trying to protect their child from the photographer.

As of this writing, the police department has not given a statement on the matter
